Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Josh has spent the past 5+ years filling multiple roles within Shopify Expert and software development agencies, partnering with businesses ranging from small businesses to multi-billion dollar enterprises on their marketing, ecommerce, and growth strategies and execution.

Combined with years of freelance experience, providing services across website and ecommerce development, marketing and advertising, operations and more, he’s tackled a wide range of business challenges and is excited to build relationships with, and help further the growth of even more businesses in his role with Waypoint.

After partnering with Melissa Eapen of Improbable Escapes (and other businesses) on multiple projects, they decided to make it official – launching Waypoint (originally One Brick Digital) in mid-2021.

Before co-founding Waypoint, Melissa kicked off her career launching Improbable Escapes, where she is responsible for marketing, sales, and business development.

Her expertise and commitment allowed her to be recognized as an industry expert in marketing gamified experiences; as a result she lectured on this topic at Up The Game, TransWorld’s Halloween and Attraction Show, Ontario Museum Conferences, and more.

More recently, the Improbable Escapes team launched a new subsidiary company called Visual Menace Creative, where Melissa is the Production Designer for feature films such as Angel Three (post-production), and Den Mother Crimson (pre-production).

Melissa is excited to serve as the Creative Director for Waypoint to combine her loves of marketing, branding, and the creative arts.
